Setup

Find one person and tell them you're going to read their mind. Gather five objects and place them face down in a line on a table. Choose the object you want them to select, write it on a piece of paper, fold it up, and place it on the table where the volunteer can see it. Ensure that the person is sitting directly opposite you and can see all five objects.

How to Play

Ask the person to select any three of the five objects and pull them towards themselves. If the object you want them to choose is in the three objects they pulled, remove the two objects they didn't pull and leave the three objects they selected. If the two objects they choose do not include the one you want them to select, remove those two objects and tell them there is only one object left on the table. Reveal what you wrote on the paper that it’s the exact same object. If the two objects they choose include the one you want them to select, remove the one they didn’t choose and tell them to finally pick up one of the two remaining objects. If they picked up the object you want them to choose, remove the remaining one on the table and reveal that the object they are holding is the same as what you wrote on the paper. If they picked up the other one, tell them to remove that one and show them there is only one object remaining on the table which is the exact same one that you wrote on your paper. If the object you want them to select is not in the three objects they chose, remove all three objects and leave the two objects they didn't pull. Near the start of the game, if the person’s 3 objects they chose did not include the object you want them to select, then remove the 3 objects they chose and tell them to pick up one of the remaining objects. If they pick up the one you want them to select, remove the remaining object and reveal what you wrote on your paper is the same as the object they chose. If they don't pick up the one you want them to select, tell them to remove that one and show them that the last object on the table is the one you predicted on your paper.
