Setup

Have the players hold out their hands in front of them with any one finger extended on each hand. Hold hands flat and straight out so it’s easy to see how many fingers are extended throughout the game. Decide which player will start the game.

How to Play

The starting player can attack the other player’s hand by tapping on it with one of their fingers. The player whose hand is tapped must add the number of fingers of the attacking hand to their already extended fingers. Eg. if the attacking hand has 2 fingers extended and the tapped hand has 1 finger, the tapped hand will then extend a total of 3 fingers (2 fingers +1 finger = 3 fingers). Players can alternatively use their turn to transfer fingers from one hand to the other by tapping their own hands together. Eg. If a player has 4 fingers extended on their left hand and 1 finger on their right hand. They use their left hand to tap their right hand to transfer as many entended fingers as they choose. Similarly, if a player’s hand is dead, the player can bring it back into play by transferring fingers on it as long as the other hand has 2 or more fingers up. A player cannot attack a hand if the total sum of the fingers would exceed 5. Eg. your hand has 3 fingers extended and your opponent has 4, you cannot attack it as it would mean a total of 7 fingers (3+4=7). In this case, you’ll need to transfer some to your other hand. Players take turns attacking or transferring until one player’s hands are both dead. A hand is dead by either having no fingers extended or being unable to make a move: attack or transfer.
