Setup

Clearly define the start line and the finish line. At least 10 meters between the start and finish line. Have one player be the traffic cop, the one who will call “Red Light” and “Green Light”. The traffic cop will also be the judge if someone moves at red light. Have all players stand at the starting line except for the traffic cop. The traffic cop stands behind the finish line with their back turned to the other players.

How to Play

Once everybody is ready, the traffic cop yells “Green Light!” and the other players move towards the finish line. When the traffic cop chooses, they will yell “Red Light!” and then turn to face everybody. All players must immediately freeze on “Red Light!”. If the traffic cop sees a player moving on “Red Light”, they will get sent back to the start line. The traffic cop will alternate yelling between “Green Light!” and “Red Light!”. The player who crosses the finish line first, wins the round. Play multiple rounds with a different traffic cop each round.
