Setup

Sit in a circle or around a table. Give 3 coins to each player (or any 3 small objects will also suffice).

How to Play

Choose a player to go first using any random method you prefer (eg paper scissors stone). All players secretly choose how many of their coins to hold in their closed fist (either 0, 1, 2 or 3). We suggest doing this in your pocket to ensure secrecy. Players then extend their closed fist forward to indicate they are ready. Starting with the designated first player, each person guesses the total number of coins in all fists, proceeding in a clockwise order. Players cannot repeat a number that has already been guessed. After all guesses are made, everyone reveals their coins, and the total number is counted. The player whose guess is correct is out for that round, meaning they win and are safe. The game continues in rounds with the person to the left of the last player who guessed first. In each round players may get out of the game as they guess correctly, until only one player remains. If nobody guesses the correct number, all remaining players start a new round. The last remaining player loses the game and faces a fun, light-hearted penalty, such as buying a round of drinks.
