Setup

Gather a group of players, ideally 2 or more. Designate a person to be the timekeeper for the first round.

How to Play

The timekeeper selects a 7-letter word and spells it out to the other players. Once the timekeeper has spelled out the word, they start a timer for 2 minutes. Players must use the letters from the 7-letter word to create as many new words as possible within the 2-minute time limit. Words must be at least three letters long and can only use the letters in the 7-letter word provided. No additional letters can be added. Players write down their list of words on a piece of paper. When the timer goes off, players stop writing and the timekeeper collects all the lists. The timekeeper reads out the list of words they came up with and any duplicates are removed from everyone's list. Players earn one point for each unique word on their list. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. Here are some examples of 7-letter word anagrams that the timekeeper can provide: CHIMNEY, DESPAIR, GLIMPSE, LIGHTER, MONSTER, PROBLEM, WINDMILL
